Well I’ve gotten large enough for people to begin impersonating me, trying to phish/scam my subscribers (you beautiful lot, you).
A fake account using my profile picture and the handle @btcmacrowarroom has been messaging subscribers on Substack, pitching a “private, invite-only list” and asking for your email or directing you to a random Gmail address.
This is not me.
A few things to keep in mind:
I will never DM you first. Not on Substack, not on WhatsApp, not anywhere.
I will never ask for your email or personal info via DM.
The only official links are this Substack (durdenbtc.substack.com) and my website (durdenbtc.com).
My official handle is always DurdenBTC — anything else is a fake.
Here’s what the impostor’s profile and DM look like so you know what to watch for:

If you get a message from someone claiming to be me, check the handle and the profile. This impostor has zero published posts and zero subscribers, dead giveaway.
Shoutout to for being op-sec aware enough to flag this. If anyone else has been contacted by this account, please let me know.
Stay sharp out there.
— Durden out.
